Neck papilloma

Neck papilloma (filamentous warts) is the result of human papillomavirus infection and is caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) that has been ingested or activated in cells. The location of the tumor is often found. Experts call this type of papillary filiform warts (acrochord). They can appear not only on the neck, but also behind the ears and in the armpits under the breast.

It is the task of experts to determine the cause and choice of treatment for cervical papilloma. Human papillomavirus infection is harmful to health and can lead to the growth of malignant tumors, especially when combined with genital warts and urogenital diseases.

Disease development mechanism

Papillomavirus has been detected in most sexually mature people. HPV can be damaged, ruptured, and enter the body through massage, use of other people's hygiene products, shoes, and unprotected sex. For months or even years, the papillomavirus did not appear in any way, indicating that it is a chronic carrier. When the virus multiplies on the surface of the skin, tissue proliferation occurs, and filaments grow in the neck and other parts of the body.

Important! HPV is not persistent in the environment. The virus will soon die from household items. Infection mainly occurs through direct contact.

During shaving or manicure, it may self-infect when activating the "dormant" virus. The disease enters an active clinical stage, and then a proliferative process occurs in the skin.

Causes of cervical papilloma

Skin papilloma

It is almost impossible to say exactly why papilloma appears on the neck. Experts determined the following incentives:

  • The transfer of serious infectious diseases, surgical operations that weaken the immune system, and reduce the body's adaptability;
  • Clothing, hygiene and care products often damage the skin;
  • In low-quality salons, workers infected with HPV give massages that do not comply with infectious safety techniques;
  • Hormonal imbalance, endocrine pathology;
  • There are other types of papillomas, warts and warts on the body and genitals.

Experts believe that the cause of neck papilloma may be related to hormone changes in the body. This confirms the fact that when the activity of sex hormones decreases, filiform warts often appear after endocrine pathology, during pregnancy and menopause.

In young women, the cause of cervical papilloma is usually ovarian dysfunction. But initially, HPV must be inactive in the body. Hormonal surges are just a stimulus.

Clinical manifestations

Papilloma of the neck actually has no clinical manifestations. From the outside, they resemble small linear products, pale yellow or flesh-colored. The tumor has a fairly dense consistency. Their size rarely exceeds 6 mm. In most cases, filiform papillomas on the neck are rare. They can grow together and form lesions similar to cockscomb or cauliflower.

This type of papilloma is not easily magnetized, but if it is damaged, there is still a risk of tissue malignancy. The tumor becomes inflamed, and new warts often appear, causing the papilloma virus to spread to healthy skin.

Examination of cervical papilloma

During the comprehensive examination, the cause and treatment of cervical papilloma can be determined. When filamentous growth occurs, a dermatologist should be consulted.

The main diagnostic methods for papilloma of the neck, axilla and other parts of the body:

Neck papilloma
  • PCR;
  • Dermoscope;
  • Biopsy of tumor tissue;
  • Histological examination.

Papilloma in the neck is different from common warts, fibroids and moles. The virus can be identified during the PCR study. This method allows you to identify the DNA of the virus, assess the degree of carcinogenesis and the amount of HPV formed. The most dangerous types of HPV are 16 and 18, which cause cervical cancer.

If a malignant process is suspected, perform a biopsy of the papilloma tissue. Chronic papillomavirus infection can cause tissue proliferation and often magnesia. Therefore, it is very important to detect viruses with high carcinogenic risk in time and eliminate the growth of papilloma bacteria.

Treatment method

Individually choose the treatment plan for cervical papilloma. This should be considered:

  • The number, shape and size of tumors;
  • The patient's general health status;
  • The degree of malignant risk of tumor;
  • The presence of accompanying diseases, including external and internal tumors, genitourinary system infections.

In order to understand how to eliminate neck papilloma, the doctor has prescribed a comprehensive examination. Please be sure to determine the type of HPV. Further strategies depend on this. Papilloma is the result of virus proliferation and requires antiviral treatment.

Therapeutic treatment

Drugs for human papillomavirus infection can only be used after consulting the attending doctor. These funds inhibited the further growth of HPV and prevented complications including malignant tumors.

Most often, experts prescribe drugs with antiviral activity, which also have immunomodulatory effects. In order to reduce the number of attacks per year, it is very important to increase the activity of the immune system, especially in the case of frequent relapses.

The treatment of human papillomavirus infection lasted for several months. During the medication period, it is recommended to monitor laboratory parameters, blood donation and urine in order to detect the increase in the load of the liver and kidneys in time.

If for some reason, experts postpone the surgical treatment of neck warts, they must give up clothes that hurt the tumor. The risk of papillomavirus spreading to healthy areas of the body is even small and increases sharply.

In addition to antiviral drugs, you can also use off-the-shelf drugs to remove papilloma. But this treatment is traumatic. As the risk of cancer increases, it cannot be used.

Drugs for removing papilloma

Ready-made preparations used to remove cervical papilloma contain acids and aggressive ingredients that can destroy tumor cells. It is recommended to use these funds in accordance with the attached instructions and after consulting a doctor.

The basic principle of removing warts and papillomas with ready-made products:

  • Before using topical preparations, it is necessary to treat healthy skin with zinc paste or vegetable oil;
  • It is forbidden to use the product to treat children under 10-12 and adults with sensitive skin and chronic allergic diseases;
  • Do not apply medicine to moles.

If part of the medicine sticks to healthy skin or mucous membranes during the use of papilloma remover, it is necessary to wash the skin urgently with running water and soap to neutralize acid and alkali.

Commonly used drugs to get rid of papilloma:

  • The drugs in tablets are anti-inflammatory and immunomodulators. Reduce the number of viruses, which helps to gradually reduce the size of the tumor. It is recommended to combine local treatment.
  • A preparation used to freeze papilloma to the bottom. When using the product, there will be a slight tingling and burning sensation. The skin turns white, then reddens, forming blisters. Complete tissue regeneration occurs within 2-4 weeks.
  • The application of the product is based on the cold effect on papilloma. Low temperature will destroy the tumor, severely destroy the metabolism and nutrition of the tissue, and cause its death.
  • Celandine products. Similar drugs are also used to remove neck papilloma at home. In addition to celandine juice, they also contain other aggressive ingredients, including alkali. Before using this product, you must use grease cream, vegetable oil or zinc ointment to protect healthy skin.

The drugs used to fight papilloma should be used in accordance with official instructions. Some drugs are aggressive and may cause tissue inflammation, irritation and even chemical burns. Due to high skin sensitivity, it is forbidden. It is best to use minimally invasive surgery to remove the papilloma in the neck.

Surgical treatment

Surgical treatment of papilloma is the gold standard. In the context of human papillomavirus infection, all tumors that appear on the skin and mucous membranes must be removed. No expert can guarantee that the tumor will not cause magnesia and the growth of malignant tumors sooner or later.

The main method of surgical removal of cervical papilloma:

  • Laser coagulation;
  • Freeze destruction;
  • Radio wave mode;
  • Electrocoagulation;
  • Surgery to remove the tumor with a scalpel.

The doctor chooses a specific papilloma removal method based on the comprehensive examination data. Surgical removal of skin tumors has a large tumor size and risk of malignancy. In other cases, experts will try to use minimally invasive techniques, which will not leave scars and spots on the skin.

Laser coagulation

Electrocoagulation-the method of removing warts

The laser effectively resists foreign bodies on the skin and mucous membranes. This method provides the most accurate and targeted results in the controlled tissue depth. There is no pain during the operation. Most commonly, experts use injection or applied anesthesia.

High-energy laser evaporates viral tumors through a highly directed laser beam. In this case, the blood vessels clot at the same time. High temperature exposure prevents the papilloma virus from spreading through the bloodstream to healthy skin areas.

Nodules will form at the site of the destroyed papilloma, which will disappear on their own after about a week. The skin will turn red slightly for 2-3 months and then disappear completely.

Frozen

Frozen destruction is based on the cold effect on skin tumors. Liquid nitrogen freezes the papilloma and causes its destruction. Subsequently, the tissue disappeared and a small crust formed.

During the operation, the cytoplasm and intercellular fluid are frozen, and the cell structure of the papilloma is destroyed, which makes the tumor unable to survive. Exposure to low temperature prevents lymphatic circulation and blood flow in the papilloma tissue.

During the use of liquid nitrogen, the skin turned white and slightly swollen, and after the operation it turned red, with unremarkable blisters. Complete tissue regeneration can occur within a few weeks.

Radio waves to remove papilloma

The radio wave method to eliminate papilloma is known for its practicality and moderate trauma. When radio frequency waves penetrate the skin, heat is released, and with it, it is possible to remove tumors by evaporating cells. During this process, the tissue will move like a scalpel. This method is suitable for patients who need histological analysis after surgical removal of papilloma.

Electrocoagulation

Electrocoagulation is a modern method of removing papilloma. During the electrosurgery procedure, the doctor removed the stem of the tumor and then used electric current to burn off the root of the tumor. This method is more suitable for removing small papilloma, because the size of the working circuit of the coagulator is smaller.

Important! Surgical treatment is combined with antiviral therapy and immunostimulants.

The growth of tumors is related to the activity of the immune system. Experts pay special attention to improving immunity with the help of drugs and using safer methods (swimming, hardening, balneotherapy).

Traditional method

Alternative therapies include local treatments to remove papilloma and internal preparations to improve immunity. Echinacea has immunostimulating properties. Long-term use of the plant agent can increase the activity of the immune system and enhance its resistance to contact with viral vectors.

The most commonly used local remedy is celandine juice. Spread on the tumor several times a day. The treatment time does not exceed 5-7 days. Due to the high risk of burns, it is not recommended to use celandine juice to remove large papillomas. This product is not suitable for mucus and sensitive skin areas.

At home, you can try using salicylic acid to remove small papilloma of the neck. Garlic can be used to stop the growth of HPV and reduce the risk of spreading pathogens to healthy tissues. To do this, rub a few cloves of garlic on a grater, and then apply it to the skin tumor. This method cannot be used for cuts and any injuries, nor can it be used to remove papilloma on the mucosa.
